Shaun E. Murphy

Shaun E. Murphy, age 63, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. He was born on July 9, 1960, in Hayward, CA to Thomas Decker and Lois Nichols-Messier. He was adopted by Gene Murphy and Cleora Hanna. Shaun was united in marriage to Laura Rolph on May 18, 1991, at South Park in Oshkosh.

Shaun was a man loved by many for his passion for motorcycles, particularly his cherished Harley, which carried him on countless adventures through the open roads. Through every twist of the handlebar and turn of the wheel, Shaun found solace in the embrace of the outdoors. Among his other interests, Shaun found joy in exploring the realms of science fiction, where his imagination could roam freely among distant galaxies and futuristic worlds.

Shaun is survived by his wife, Laura Murphy; daughters: Jillian (Cesar) Delaney; Misty McQuown, Amanda (Ryan) Steeber, Tabitha (Jaren Hergert) Rolph; grandchildren: Kailee Katanah, Rhiannon, Kadence, Kianni, Dreagon, Dallas, Keleen, Alexander, Quency, King, Protègè, Suraiya; great grandchild, Melina; brothers: Edward (Reen) Bigbey, William (Dayrline) Decker; sisters: Rehne (Albert) Burge, Deborah Evans; and numerous other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Thomas Decker, Lois Nichols-Messer, Gene and Clara Murphy; and brother-in-law, Terry Evans.

Private family memorial services will be held.
