Sheila Ann Pope

Sheila Ann Pope of Oshkosh, WI died at Mercy Medical Center on Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at the age of 69. She was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts on February 5, 1938, a daughter of the late Lawson and Stella Haynes Blake. Sheila married John H. Pope on April 21, 1955 in St. Petersburg, FL. Johnny preceded her in death on March 2, 1972. She later married Clifford J. Crowley on March 28, 1980. Clifford preceded Sheila in death on May 14, 1987.Sheila spent her professional life in the dedicated service and care of others as a nurse. She worked in area hospitals, nursing homes and home health care agencies. Sheilas life interests included music, choirs, arts, crafts, gardening and the joy shared through the gathering of friends, family and coworkers. Over her lifetime Sheila maintained her membership in local churches. Most recently she was a member of New Life Community Church.Sheila is survived by her six children. They include five sons and one daughter. They are John (& Connie) Pope, Haysville, NC; Ronnie (& Elaine) Pope, Tarpon Springs, FL; Charles (& Kathy) Pope, Elberta, AL; Arthur (& Anita) Pope, Tarpon Springs, FL; Laurie (& Rod) Condon, East Troy, WI; and David Pope, Houston, TX. Also surviving are two loving brothers, Stephen (& Dolly) Blake, Berlin, WI and Lawson (& Connie) Blake, Omro, WI. In addition Sheila leaves this world with ten grandchildren; Lisa, Trese, Ronald Jr., Jennifer, Jason, Brian, Daniel, Cassandra, Katelyn, Cody; and eleven great grandchildren, Fallon, Quincy, Tristin, Sharon, Brittany, Harley, Devon, Ronnie, Ellie, Maverick, Ariel; and many nieces and nephews.Memorial services for Sheila will be held at Fergus Chapel (1619 W Waukau Ave.), Oshkosh, WI 54902-9050 ( see yahoo maps) on the EAA grounds on Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 2:00 pm. Overseeing the service is Pastor Mark Elliott of New Life Community Church. Inurnment will be at Sylvan Abbey Cemetery, Clearwater, Florida. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. Memorials can be mailed to 6215 Francis Marion Dr., Houston, TX 77091.
