Shiela R. Piotter, 79 of Oshkosh passed away surrounded by family at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay due to complications from covid. She was born to Clarence and Onieda (Lehman) Bloede on April 12, 1944 In Oshkosh. She graduated from Omro High School in 1962. Her employment included Wisconsin Bell, childcare, various cleaning jobs, bank teller, and retired as custodian of Omro Middle School in 2010.
She enjoyed bird watching (except for grackles), flower gardening (except for weeds), crafts, reading, crossword puzzles, and Mahjong. She also enjoyed spending time with family and was known for her unusual Christmas gifts. Shiela had a quest for trivia knowledge, which kept Alexa and Google busy. Her motto: “it is what it is”.
She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Onieda Bloede and her brother Kenneth Bloede.
Survivors include children, Lorri (Lorin) Sternberg and Brenda (Dave) Werner; grandchildren, Danielle Kempf, Kyle Sternberg, Cameron Sternberg, Brittany (Randy) Schuster; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Bradley, Sawyer Schuster; sister-in-law, Dorothy Bloede. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, and seven god-children.
Shiela’s funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Grace Lutheran Church, 720 Jackson Ave. Omro, WI 54963 officiated by Rev. Mark Wenzel. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 am until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Burdick Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established by her family.
