Shirley A. Gerken, age 80, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022, at the Courtyard in Oshkosh. She was born on June 22, 1942, in New London to the late Lloyd McClone and Mildred (Gerbig) Wall.
Shirley worked as an accountant at Laydwel Floors for over 30 years until retirement.
She was a fan of Elvis Presley, a member of the Oshkosh Kennel Club and a proud supporter of the Neenah Animal Shelter.
She enjoyed traveling, reading, gardening and taking long walks through the neighborhood and parks.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 48 years, Ken Gerken; son, Scott Loos; daughters: Randee (Ebi) Herzog, Laurie (Mike) Drexler; grandchildren, Nicolas (Mimi) Herzog; great grandchild, Ellie Herzog; brother, Bob (Debbie) McClone; beloved dog, Missy; stepdaughters: Pam (Wayne) Dehnert, Gail (Ed) Bielinski; step grandchildren: Joshua (Jennifer) Dehnert, Joel (Carrie) Theder, Erin (Craig) Hanus; step great grandchildren: Alex Garza, Trey Theder, Layla Theder, Lilyana Theder and Elliot Hanus.
She was further preceded in death by her brother, Bill McClone; son, Jim Loos; and step granddaughter, Jackie Theder.
Per Shirley’s wishes private family services will be held.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Courtyard Memory Care in Oshkosh and Heartland Hospice for all the care and compassion given to Shirley.
