Shirley June Chapin

Shirley J. Chapin, age 92, passed away at Evergreen Retirement Community on Wednsday, September 7, 2016. Shirley was born to the late Richard and Nellie Weber on February 8, 1924 in the city of Watertown. She married Sheldon Chapin and they were together for 69 years until his death on August 11, 2011. Shirley loved her family, and spent her time being a seamstress, knitting, and doing ceramics.Shirley is survived by her son, Dennis (Karen) Chapin; daughter, Joan (Richard) Mueller; daughter-in-law, Charlene Chapin; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Sheldon; son, Thomas; brother, Lawrence Weber; sister, Evelyn Lornson; and grandchild Joshua Chapin.A memorial service for Shirley will be held at 4PM on Sunday, September, 11, 2016 at the Konrad-Behlman Westside (100 Lake Pointe Drive, Oshkosh, WI). Rev. Andi Wolf will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 3PM until the time of service.The family would like to thank the staff at Evergreen for their continued care.In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
