Sidney W. Nintzel, age 86 of Oshkosh died at Bethel Home on Saturday, February 11, 2012. Sidney was born in Oshkosh on May 11, 1925, a son of the late Sidney N. and Marie Neher Nintzel. On May 6, 1950 he married Mary Ellen Ostertag in Oshkosh.Sidney had been assistant manager for Ford Rexall Drug Stores in Fond du Lac, Neenah and Appleton from 1949 to 1981 and then worked for the H. C. Roenitz Company until his retirement. He was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Peter Church. Sidney was a life member of the Knights of Columbus, and a former member and board member of the Travelers Protective Association. He was a caring and dedicated husband and father. He always supported the endeavors and activities of his family. He enjoyed short and long trips to various parts of the United States. He was very skilled with his hands and enjoyed making and repairing things. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen Nintzel of Oshkosh; two daughters, Susan (Robert) Komarinetz, of Vero Beach, FL and Jane (Joseph) Roloff of Oshkosh; one son Thomas (Jane) Nintzel of Oshkosh; four grandchildren, Jessica (Joshua) Glass of West Bend, Jennifer Roloff of Oshkosh, Jacquelyn Roloff of Milwaukee and Michael Nintzel of Oshkosh; two sisters-in-law, Mary Sonnleitner of Oshkosh and Mary Ostertag of Manitowoc; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, James Nintzel and two sisters, Helen Pickett and Mary Jane Schloss.A Memorial Mass will be held at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Peter Church (435 High Ave., Oshkosh) on Saturday February 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Rev. James Jugenheimer officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM to the time of Mass. Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery. A memorial has been established. Sidneys family would like to send a special thank you to the wonderful staff of Bethel Home who took such good care of Sidney.
