Stanley Chester Laatsch

March 20, 1945 — June 8, 2010

Stanley C. Laatsch, 65, of Oshkosh died unexpectedly on Tuesday June 8, 2010 at Aurora Medical Center. He was born March 20, 1945 in Oshkosh a son of the late Lauren and Bernette (Werner) Laatsch. Stanley married Delores Golliher on April 24, 1965 in Oshkosh. Stan was a carpenter for Lueck's for 29 years and then worked on his own for 8 years owning Stan's Remodeling Plus Service. He was a frequent visitor and jackpot winner at Oneida Casino. Stan was an avid hunter, camper, fisherman (being in the Otter Street tournament with his daughter many years), Brewer's fan, woodworker, and softball coach (coaching Shorty's Sluggers for many years). He loved music, playing the guitar and organ, and even wrote his own songs. Stan's family meant everything to him (always having cook-outs and parties with them), also anyone else who needed a place to stay or live was always taken in by Stan and Delores. He is survived by his wife Delores of Oshkosh; two daughters Amy Marie (Charles Jr.) Beecher of Eagle River and Debbie L. (Brian) Seaman of Oshkosh; a brother Randy (fiance Dawn Kunde) Laatsch of Oshkosh; eight grandchildren Michael Krueger, Kelley Krueger (special friend Natz), Jonathan (Emy) Laatsch, Jennifer Kromm (special friend Dale Beck), Laura Kromm, Katherine "Katie" Kromm, Carlie Seaman, and Carson Seaman; two great-grandchildren Arieanna Beck and Payton Mathews; several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Ruth Sweetalla, and two brothers Larry and James Laatsch. Stan's funeral service will be held MONDAY June 14, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, Rev. Nancy Zorn-Micke officiating. Visitation for Stan will be at the Lake Pointe Drive funeral home on SATURDAY June 12, 2010 from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. and again on MONDAY from 9 a.m. until the service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established. Stan's memory will live on through his family and friends.
