Dr. Stanley D. Sibley, 62 of Oshkosh, died Monday April 9, 2007. He was born in Mt. Vernon, WA on April 28, 1944 the son of Donald and Genevieve Axelson Sibley. On September 16, 1966 he married Dianna Rowley in Mt. Vernon, WA. Dr. Sibley was Professor Emeritus at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh for 35 years, and had been Chairman of the Marketing Department.He was a former member of the St. Johns Lutheran Church in Nekimi, and had his current membership with the Salem Lutheran Church in Washington. He was a member of American Marketing Association, the Fox Valley Purchasing Association, and was the president of Sibley and Associates Marketing Consultants.He is survived by his wife, Dianna Rowley-Sibley of Oshkosh, a brother, Clayton (Rhonda) Sibley of Mt. Vernon, WA, two sisters, Cherry (Mike) Aiken of Acme, WA and Cherralee (John) Hoover of Burlington, WA, an aunt, Maxine Shroyer of Stanwood, WA, two sisters/in/law, Joanne (Richard) Gustafson of Sedro Woolly, WA, and Jaqueline Smith of St.Paul, MN, four nephews, Dustin Ozaki of Burlington, WA, Tyler Young of Seattle, WA, Jonathon Sibley of Mt. Vernon, WA, and Aaron Smith of Minneapolis, MN, nieces, Darci (Ben) Oliver, of Burlington, WA, Arletta Gustafson of Maryland, and Tamara Sibley of Mt. Vernon, WA, two grand nephews, and a grand niece. He was preceded in death by his parents.His funeral will be Saturday April 14, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the St. Johns Lutheran Church in Nekimi with the Rev. James Reiff officiating. Burial will be in the Bayview Cemetery in Skagit County, WA. Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9 – 11 A.M. A visitation will take place at the Kern Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, WA on Saturday April 21, 2007 with a service of Christian Burial to follow at the cemetery. The Stan and Dianna Scholarship Fund has been established at the UWO Foundation 800 Algoma Blvd. Oshkosh, WI 54901
