Stefanija C. Schmid, age 49, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, September 27, 2021. She was born to Walter and Agnes (Murawski) Schmid on September 13, 1972, in Oshkosh. At age 19 she was gifted a beautiful daughter Natasha (father: Chris Moxon).
Stef was a born caregiver, always taking care of others before herself, even through the last years dealing with her own sicknesses. She went on to earn her Medical Assisting degree at FVTC in 2011. Stef was always the life of the party. She loved rock & roll music, muscle cars, Harley Davidsons, concerts, enjoying a cold beer after yard work, and her pets.
To her nieces and nephews, she was "Crazy Aunt Steffy", a fun, loving nickname that suited her perfectly. Her nieces and nephews held a special place in her heart. She enjoyed teaching them her ways of life and making memories with them that they will laugh at and remember forever.
Stef became a grandma (Gigi) in 2012 to a granddaughter, followed by two grandsons in 2017 and 2020. Being a Gigi was so fulfilling for her and she loved spoiling her grandkids and watching them grow.
In 2012 Stef became suddenly ill, eventually the diagnosis was Lyme Disease. Though this disease took much from her it allowed her to spend much quality time with her dad (Wally).
Heaven truly gained a Rock n' Roll Angel with the brightest smile and warmest hugs.
Stef is survived by her daughter, Natasha Moxon; Natasha’s Father, Christopher Moxon; grandchildren, Zoey Boe, Chase and Alyx Cullinane; father, Walter (Sheryl Fredin) Schmid; siblings Michelle (Mark) Schmid-Schultz, Mary (Tony) Voulgaris, and Chris (Lisa) Schmid; nieces and nephews Alexandra, Demetri, Michael, Jaxson (godson), Wesley, Aubrey, Amelia; and her dog, Remi.
Stef will be joining her mother, Agnes, in Heaven.
A service for Stef will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes Westside (100 Lake Pointe Dr) on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at noon. A visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of service. The family requests that those attending wear informal attire; a concert or tye dye T-shirt and to ride your muscle cars or Harley motorcycles to the service in honor of Stef.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be donated to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society.
