Steven Procknow, age 73, of Black Wolf passed away on October 4, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on October 20, 1942 in Oshkosh, the son of the late Roy and Dorothy (Kunde) Procknow. Steve proudly served our country in the Army for four years. He was united in marriage to Carol Meixensperger in 1962 at First English Lutheran Church. Their marriage was blessed with two children. Steve was a truck driver for Oshkosh Corp. for 41 years. He was an avid pheasant and deer hunter and fisherman. He was a lifetime member of Otter Street Fishing Club, Black Wolf Wildlife Association and Van Dyne Sportsmans Club. Steve is survived by his wife, Carol of 54 years, one son, Steven (Trina) Procknow of Oshkosh, one daughter, Michelle (Brian) Zschetzsche of Sheboygan, four grandchildren: Becky and Gunther Procknow and William and Henry Rupnick; one sister, Jean Kostmerchock and one brother, Randall (Kay) Procknow and two sisters-in-law, Kathleen (Richard) Earl and Mary (Joe) Wiedenmeier. He was further survived by nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, David.Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, with Pastor Tim Greenwald officiating. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home from 9:30 am until the time of service. A memorial is being established. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Black Wolf First Responders, and Randy Wagner and Sue Patterson-Boruch for their assistance.Procky was known for his love of dogs and wildlife. He was dearly loved by his family and friends and took great pride in his children and grandchildren.
