Sue E. Dorman

Sue Ellyn (Hoeft) Dorman, 84, of Oshkosh died September 1 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton following complications from a stroke. She was born on August 1, 1937 to Herbert and Erna(Procknow) Hoeft. Sue married Kenneth Robert Dorman on May 31, 1957 in Dubuque, Iowa.
During her life, Sue worked as a stay at home mother, day care provider and foster parent. Between 1973 and 1992, Ken and Sue fostered 62 pre-adoptive infants and toddlers.
She enjoyed reading, watching John Wayne movies and game shows, especially Jeopardy.
Sue is survived by her children Michael(Georgine) Dorman, Cathy(Charles, deceased) Saunders, Scott(Deb Guy) and Linda Frei. She is further survived by her grandchildren, nieces and nephews and sisters-in-law Charlotte Eichstadt and Janice Hoeft. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, her siblings and their spouses Herbert(Joyce) Hoeft, Don(Jo) Hoeft, Jerry Hoeft, Pat(Earl) Struensee and her brothers and sisters-in-law Arlene(Dean) Lewis, Shirley(Larry) Papenfuss, Harriet(Theodore, Jr.) Reichenberger, Clarence Eichstadt, and her grandson Ryan Guy.
A visitation will be held from 1-3 pm followed by a memorial service at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, Oshkosh on Friday, September 10, 2021. Masks are recommended.
