Sue Sharon (Bennett) Rumlow, age 91, affectionately known as 'The Suepervisor' to her loved ones, of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at Country Villa Assisted Living in Omro, WI, on April 11, 2025, with her family beside her.
Born on March 9, 1934, in Wheatfield, Missouri, she was the daughter of Carol (Ihrig) Jenkins and Seth W. Bennett. Sue graduated from high school in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, before earning her B.S. degree in elementary education from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. She dedicated 15 years of her life to teaching 2nd grade in country schools and the Neenah Joint School District.
In 1954, she met Wayne Rumlow, whom she married in 1955 at Sacred Heart Church in Oshkosh, sharing 44 years of marriage and raising their children, Mark and Kelly.
Sue is survived by her son Mark W. Rumlow, daughter Kelly (Scot) Standke, grandchildren Dana (John) Ruh, Tyler (Laya Helena) Rumlow, Ryan (Mackenzie) Standke, Aaron Standke, and Jordan Standke; and great-grandchildren Gavin Ruh, Macie Ruh, Harper Ruh, Liam Rumlow, Braxton Glysch, Moira Standke, and Evelyn Standke. She is also survived by her brother Donald Bennett, sister Laurie (Mark) Gilman, nephews Kirk and Kipp Rumlow, nieces Tami (Tom) Beier, Marie (Justin) Travis, Wendy (Dennis) King, Stacey (Steve) Frank, and many other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne O. Rumlow; mother, Carol (Ihrig) Jenkins; father, Seth W. Bennett; stepfather, Edwin Jenkins; sister, Diane Jenkins; daughter-in-law, Tammy Rumlow; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Warner and Donna Rumlow; parents-in-law, Sylvia and Orville Rumlow; and special friends, Lolli Weber, Virginia Schneider, and Renee Weber, cherished friend of her son, Mark.
A devoted member of St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, Sue cherished her time spent traveling, dancing, reading, attending ball games, and, most importantly, being with her family.
Visitation will be held at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, 830 S. Westhaven Dr., Oshkosh, WI, on Wednesday, April 23, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Mass at 11:00 a.m., with a light meal and refreshments afterward.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Country Villa Assisted Living and St. Croix Hospice for the exceptional care provided to Sue.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Oshkosh in her memory.
