Susan L. Smith

Susan Suzy L. Smith, age 46 of Oshkosh, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2016 at St. Lukes Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI. She was born on April 21, 1969, in Oshkosh to the late James G. and Lynn G. (Seibold) Hoeft. Suzy married the love of her life, Scott Smith, on September 6, 2008, in Oshkosh.Suzy graduated from Oshkosh North High School and went on to receive an Associate Degree at FVTC in Appleton,WI. She worked at the Winnebago Mental Health Institute as a RN for many years. She enjoyed going on trips to the casino, traveling, and spending time with her many, many friends. Suzy was a hard-core Packer fan, due to the fact that her grandfather, Champ C. Seibold, played for the Packers from 1934 to 1942.Suzy is survived by her husband: Scott Smith; brother: Michael J. Hoeft of Lake Bluff, IL; mother and father in law: Gerald and Nora Smith of Gladstone, MI; aunts and uncles: Lani (Sam) Dordel of Neenah, WI and Greg (Libby) Seibold of Sayner, WI. ; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews which include: Mark S. (Wendy) Dordel of Madison,WI, Sarah Anne Dordel of San Diego, CA, Dawn Rose of Oshkosh, WI, Vicki (Don) VanDeurzen of Little Chute, WI, and Gloria Gray of Oshkosh, WI. Suzy is also survived by her dogs, Maggie and Dolly and her cat, Flannel. She was preceded in death by her parents: James G. and Lynn G. (Seibold) Hoeft and her grandparents: Champ C. (Mary L.) Seibold and Emil Frederick (Lucy E.) Hoeft.A memorial service for Suzy will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Trinity Lutheran Church (370 Bowen St., Oshkosh, WI) with Rev. Kelly Leary officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be at Lake View Memorial Park at a later date.
