Susan Marie Schinke

Susan Marie Schinke, 65, of Oshkosh, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2012 after battling cancer for several years. She was born on June 17, 1946 in Appleton, WI the daughter of Milton Bud and Shirley Schinke.She grew up in Appleton and attended Appleton West High School. She then moved to Oshkosh and graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh. She worked as a Social Worker for many years for the State of Wisconsin and then also worked at the Social Security office in Oshkosh. In more recent years she provided reception at the Oshkosh Senior Center. Susan enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting blankets, drinking coffee, and was a passionate and devoted Green Bay Packers fan. Surviving Susan are her mother: Shirley; her brother and sister; her children: Blaine (Jennifer) Schmidt of North Potomac, MD, Dowane (Jamie) Taylor of Oshkosh , Robert Eugene Gene Johnson of Oshkosh, and Jared (Sarah) Johnson of Oshkosh; grandchildren: Alex, Brandon, Michael, Aaron, Victoria, Iris, Keegan, Evelyn, Baxter, and Baby Johnson; and special friend Bob Johnson. She was preceded in death by her father, Bud Schinke and her sister, Linda McCleery. A memorial service for Susan will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home - Westside at 5:00 p.m. with Chaplain David Nothem officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the service.
