Suzanne Staerkel

Suzanne A.J. Staerkel, age 76, passed away due to Covid-19 on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh. She was born on March 4, 1945, in Oshkosh to the late Julius and Bertha (Schuff) Staerkel.
Suzanne was an avid traveler especially to Florida or Branson, MO. In her spare time, she could be found reading, attending bible studies, or painting. Suzanne was a collector of items that brought her joy, mostly things she found while traveling. She always looked forward to her family happy hours. Suzanne was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Suzanne is survived by her brother, Vernon (Shirley) Staerkel; nieces and nephews: Vernon Jr., Viki Staerkel, Kent (Jodi) Staerkel, Carmen (David) Wade, Debbie Hunter, Garland Hunter, Greg Allen Staerkel; and special cousin, Mary Ann Wylie. She was further preceded in death by her brothers: Julius G.R. (Carmen), Russell (Anne) and infant brother, David Staerkel; sisters: Lillian Hunter, Ruth (Donald) Qualmann, Naomi Staerkel.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Zion Lutheran Church, 400 N Sawyer Street, Oshkosh with Rev. Knoll officiating. Visitation will be held at church on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been set up for Zion Lutheran Church.
