Sylvia Matilda Bitter

Sylvia Matilda Bitter, age 100, of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Rosewood Retirement Home, Waterloo, Iowa, where she resided since 2015. Prior to Rosewood, she resided at Evergreen Retirement Community for 10 years. While there she was active with the visiting children program; she loved the little ones. She was born in Oshkosh February 11, 1917 to the late Joseph and Molly (Sagmeister) Hollub. Sylvia married Robert A. Bitter on November 16, 1935; he passed on in 2004.
She is survived by her son, Robert D. and daughter-in-law, Yvonne J. Bitter of Buckingham, Iowa; her grandchildren: Dawn (Jon) Bitter-Champion of Waterloo, Iowa, and Robert (Sara) Bitter of Buckingham, Iowa; her great-grandchildren: Joel Champion and Ashley Bitter. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her brother: Ralph Hollub; and her sister: Evelyn Patzloff.
Funeral service and visitation will be held 2:30-3:30 PM Friday, June 9, 2017 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes- Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, with Rev. Paul Lidtke officiating.
