Terry G. Books

Terry Gene Books, 60, Oshkosh, passed away at Mercy Medical Center on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021. He was born in Oshkosh on March 31, 1960, son of the late Richard and Elaine (Wischow) Books. He was preceded in death by life partner Marie Novachek and ex-wife Julie A. (Zabel) Kent.

A graduate of Oshkosh North High School, Terry attended Sun Prairie Truck Driving School and obtained his CDL which he utilized as a short-haul semi-driver and later as a school bus driver for Kobussen Buses. Terry was a member of CrossPoint Church of Neenah.

Terry loved to tinker and repair things like small engines, auto body, computers, electronics & CB radios. He was a member of the local CB Club and auxiliary police where he enjoyed working EAA security. Terry was also very passionate about music while being a DJ & playing guitar for more than 20 years. Most of all Terry loved playing games, spending time with his son Anthony and extended family and helping people that he cared about.

Survivors include one son, Anthony Books, Oshkosh; one sister, Cheryl Kay (William) Books-Buxton, and his extended family of Teresa Novachek (with sons Dante Wills, Mason Wills) of Oshkosh and Richard Novachek (with son Jackson Novachek) of Beaver Dam.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home, 402 Waugoo Ave., Oshkosh. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Internment will be at Lakeview Memorial Park.
