Thomas J. Kilp

Thomas John Kilp, 70, Oshkosh, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2018 with his family by his side. He was born July 26, 1948, in Oshkosh, the son of Daniel and Orline Kilp. Tom married Judy Hillsberg, on June 24, 1977. He was employed by Mercury Marine for 43 years until his retirement in 2009. Tom enjoyed collecting action figures with Judy, gardening, and going to concerts, but above all he loved his grandchildren and the time he spent with them.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Judy; children: Brian Kilp, Tina (Bruse) Hernke, Shannon (Nate Novander) Simms, and Wendy (Jason) Newman; grandchildren: Logan, Samantha, Mason, Owen, and Easton; brothers: Orin Troxell, Mike (Cindy), Patrick and Tim Kilp.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Dan Kilp, and a sister-in-law, Carrie Kilp.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00-3:30 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2018, at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, Oshkosh. A time to share memories will follow.
Tom’s family would like to express sincere gratitude to the staffs of Edenbrook Rehab and ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah ICU for their compassionate care and comfort. They would also like to say thanks to Tom’s brother Tim for his countless hours spent with him, as well as UW Oshkosh Head Start for their concern of Judy during this time.
