Thomas Robert Tom Boettcher, died Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Aurora I.C.U in Oshkosh with his wife by his side. He was born on June 22, 1938 the loving son of Irving and Vallie (Schafer) Boettcher. Tom married the love of his life Beverly Boreen on February 12, 1966 and made their happy home in Oshkosh for almost 50 years.He graduated from Oshkosh High School class of 1956. After graduation he went at work at Oshkosh BGosh Inc. working there for over 46 years.Tom was a real sportsmen playing softball in his younger years. He was a fast pitch softball pitcher in the 50s and 60s for Wertschs Motor and is in the city hall of fame for softball. Tom was also a good bowler from the 50s until 2011 and is also in the city hall of fame for bowling. In his later life he enjoyed golfing with his friends averaging low 80s. Tom loved watching the Packers and any baseball, golf, or tennis matches. All sports were his thing.He will be sadly missed by his wife Bev and surviving friends and cousins.Tom is further survived by a brother and sister in law, Gary and Yvonne Boreen and family and Becky Jo and John Dorn; their sons Shawn and Cory; good friends, Dave and Mike Putzer, Gordy and Martha Tellock, and Carol and Ron Kentopp; God Son, Tom Salewski; and many softball, golf, and bowling buddies and cousins.He is preceded by his parents, Irv and Val Boettcher; good friends: Dave Balke, Wally Kraut, Sam Raddatz; and his loving cats: Miss Kitty, Angel one and Angel Two.A celebration of life will be held for Tom at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Westside. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 am. until the time of the service.In lieu of flowers please send contributions to the American Kidney Fund or to the Oshkosh Humane Society.Toms wife would like to thank all of the I.C.U. staff at Aurora and Dr. Lake and his staff at Oshkosh West Dialysis for all the loving care and comfort given to Tom.
