Thomas E. Stowe, 82, of Oshkosh died peacefully at the Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. He was born on October 18, 1923 adopted son of William and Beatrice Hewitt Stowe. On October 18, 1947 he married Hope D. Krause in Oshkosh. She preceded him in death on February 7, 1984.Tom had worked as a supervisor at the Paine Lumber Co. and was a member of the St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. He had served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II in the South Pacific Theatre of operations. He enjoyed golf, fishing, spectator sports and solving the problems of the world with his neighbors.Tom is survived by his sister, Lynn (George) Cuske of Eldorado, WI, and three brothers, Willard (Judy) Stowe, Larry (Arlene) Stowe, and David (Gail) McNeil all of Oshkosh, and nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Enid Keller and Mary Lou Drucker, and five brothers, Edward, Robert, James, Richard, and John Stowe.His funeral will be Wednesday September 6, 2006 at 6:00 PM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside with the Rev. Joel Olsen officiating. Burial will be in the Lake View Memorial Park. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3:00 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
