Thomas Vogelin

Thomas E. Vogelin, age 74, passed away on Saturday, November 30th, 2024. He was born to the late Edward and Ruth (Berrell) on November 28, 1950, in Oshkosh. Tom married Christine Potratz on November 17, 1973 at St. John's in Nekimi.

Thomas graduated from Oshkosh West High School in 1969 and embarked on a career as a skilled machinist, contributing his talents to various companies throughout Oshkosh, including Medalist, Oshkosh Truck, Rockwell, and Axletech. After retiring in the early 2010s, Thomas embraced his well-earned free time by fully dedicating himself to the lifetime passions that brought him joy and fulfilment.

Thomas was a family man, an avid fisherman, and a true lover of the great outdoors. On any fair-weather day, he could be found in his beloved little red boat on Lake Winnebago, actively seeking perch and enjoying the tranquility of nature.

Tom found his greatest joy in the company of his family and friends, cherishing every moment as he watched his children and grandchildren grow, succeed, and pursue their passions. Whether he was teaching his son and grandson the art of fishing, camping under the stars with his granddaughters, or sharing stories and laughter with friends, Tom brought warmth, love, and unforgettable memories to those around him.

His infectious enthusiasm, generous spirit, and profound appreciation for life's simple pleasures left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Tom enriched the lives of all who shared in his journey, creating moments that will be treasured forever. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who were touched by his presence.

Tom is survived by his son, Bryan (Alexis); son-in-law, Jeremy Walter; grandchildren, Alexis, Logan, Nolan, Avah, Jackson, and Edward. He is further survived by his sisters, Joni Balgie and Ruth Ann Andre and half-brother, Lynn Resop.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Christine; daughter, Jessica Walter; and brother, Jimmy Vogelin.

A service for Tom will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes (100 Lake Pointe Dr) on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 11AM. A time of visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of service. A burial will take place at St John's Cemetery in Black Wolf.
