Thomas William Groff

Thomas W. Groff, age 73 of Oshkosh, passed away Monday July 10, 2017 at Aurora Baycare Medical Center in Green Bay after a sudden illness. Tom was born in Oshkosh, along with his twin brother Jerry, on January 16th, 1944, the son of the late Norbert and Jane (Sawall) Groff. He was a graduate of Oshkosh High School, class of 1962. He was employed by Rockwell International / Meritor as an inspector for 38 years, and later at Schneider International and Kobussen Buses. He was an avid Packers and Brewers fan, but most of all he enjoyed fishing. Tom is survived by his two children, two nephews and a special friend Yvonne Attoe. He was preceded in death by his parents, his older sister Shari Groff and twin brother Jerry. A Time of Remembrance for Tom will be held on Thursday August 3rd, 2017 at Lake View Memorial Park Chapel from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A second gathering, will be held at his favorite hang-out Jerry's Bar on Friday evening August 4th, starting at 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family or to the Otter Street Fishing Club are appreciated .
