Vera Johnson

Vera G. Johnson, age 92, of Oshkosh, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Evergreen Creekview North. Vera was born September 11, 1920 in Hortonville, the daughter of the late Rex and Pearl (Hoye) McNutt. She was married to Edward Johnson on July 10, 1946. During her 92 years, she was a homemaker, a beautician, a member of the Saxeville Community Church, and vigorously pursued her crafts until her later years. Vera is survived by her two sons, Lee (Kathie) Johnson of Chicago and Carroll Johnson of Oshkosh; sisters, Alice (Ralph) Walters of Indiana and Dorothy Schmidt of New London; grandchildren Christine, Nicole, Tracy, Megan, Jeremy, and Kristy Kelley; and nine great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Gladys Ames; grandson, Geoffrey Johnson.Funeral services for Vera will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 in Oshkosh at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes (Eastside) with Rev. Rod Chapman officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment to follow at Lake View Memorial Park. Memorials to the Cure Alzheimer organization http://curealz.org/ are requested in lieu of flowers.
