Vernon Lawrence Lane

Vernon L. JR Lane Jr., 61, of Oshkosh, died on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center. JR was born on November 24, 1948 in Appleton the son of Vernon and Betty Bleck Lane Sr. He married Debra Beyer on August 18, 1973.JR was a member of St. Johns Ev. Lutheran Church, and was a Menasha High School graduate. He worked at Oshkosh Corp. for 19 years and enjoyed hunting and fishing. JR was an avid Packer fan and a dog lover who had dogs all his life. Survivors include his wife, Debra, of Oshkosh; mother, Betty Lane of Wittenberg; daughter, Tami (John) Stanchik of Oshkosh; grandson, Luke Stanchik; brother, Lawrence (Linda) Lane of Menasha; God children, Randi, Ryan, and Rachel Latham; and adopted God children, Andrea Baumann and Jeremy Tolle. JR is also survived by his faithful companion, Shmu.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. Johns Ev. Lutheran Church (808 N. Main St., Oshkosh) with the Rev. Jennifer Czarota officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church on Saturday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Matoon, WI.
