Wallace F. Clark, age 96, of Town of Utica, died Saturday November 16, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on July 3, 1923 in Minnesota. On May 19, 1946 he married June Steiner in Alabama. She preceded him in death.
He was a veteran of the United States Army where he helped train military dogs. He was the Owner/Operator of Clark Well Drilling and a charter member of the Town of Utica Fire Department, where he served as Assistant Chief and Captain. In 1966 he was the President of the Wisconsin Water Well Association. He enjoyed all types of hunting, sturgeon spearing, and ice fishing.
He is survived by his daughters Vicky(James Wheeler) Springborn, Sherry(Steve) Sosnoski, his grandchildren Scott Springborn, Heidi(Ryan Magana) Springborn, Lisa(Todd) Wranosky, Jessica(Kory) Carr, Justin(Crystal Sauberlich) Sosnoski, Kimberly(Robert)Loeper, Katie Kramer, great-grandchildren Kevin Springborn, Jacob Wranosky, Jaxon Sosnoski, and one great-great-grandchild Caleb Springborn, a son-in-law Jeffrey Kramer, brother-in-law Frank “Zeke” Paulus, one sister-in-law Bernice Clark.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his daughter Linda Kramer, two brothers Robert Hartman, Carroll “Jim” Clark, and two sisters, Delores Bahr, and Phyllis Nelson.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday December 1, 2019 at 3 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Westside. Visitation will be held on Sunday at the funeral home from 12 Noon until the time of the service. Full military honors will be performed at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Lake View Memorial Park.
A memorial has been established to the Town of Utica Fire Department.
The family would like to thank all of the people involved in Wallace’s life for all their time, talents, and assistance as well as the 2nd floor nurses and ICU staff at Mercy Medical Center, the Town of Utica First Responders and Volunteer Fire Department and the Oshkosh Fire Department.
