Walter E. Lubinsky

Walter E. Lubinsky, of Oshkosh, age 95 passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Evergreen Retirement Community, Oshkosh. He was born in La Crosse the son of the late Frank and Alma (Watenphul) Lubinsky. He graduated from Logan High School in 1938. Walter proudly served his country from 1941 until 1945 as a Staff Sergeant for the US Army Air Corp. He was united in marriage on May 19, 1945, to Esther Nelson in Sioux City, Iowa. Walter was a Time Study Engineer at the Trane Company for 25 years. Later they moved to Oshkosh and he worked for the Rockwell Company for 15 years retiring in 1980. Walter and Esther enjoyed square dancing with the Timber Toppers, and they were members at First United Methodist Church. Walter is survived by one son, Tim (Pat) Lubinsky of Ripon, granddaughter, Molly (Adam) Behnke of Green Bay. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Esther Lubinsky, two brothers: Frank (Sharon) and Richard (Ellen) Lubinsky and one sister, Viola (August) Zerell. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 am Monday, December 14, 2015, at Lake View Memorial Park, 2786 Algoma Blvd., with Pastor John Hobbins officiating. Friends and family may visit at the cemetery chapel from 10:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Evergreen Retirement Community, 1130 N. Westfield St., Oshkosh.
