Warren Burton Sibley

Warren Burton (Sib) Sibley passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday September 2, 2009 at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac, due to residual effects of previous radiation therapy and his many other medical complications.Sib was preceded in death by his son, Rick Warren Sibley and his parents, Marvin and Marion (nee Clarke) Sibley.Survived by his devoted, loving and devastated wife, Mary Ann (nee Farry) (Tootie), daughter, Lori Budzien (the late Al Budzien), son, Jeff Sibley (Kathryn Yager). Further survived by two sisters, Carol and Mary Sibley and special friend, Sue Rhyner; sister-in-law, Nancy (Bill) Siebecker, other relatives and many friends including the members of Rolling Dice Riders (snowmobile club in Franklin) and the Oshkosh Boat Club. Sib had a 41 year career in the banking industry, starting at the New American Bank, Oshkosh, then moving his family to Hales Corners to continue his career at State Bank Hales Corners where he excelled in the personal finance area. He moved on to Kilbourn State Bank and then to the Northwoods to State Bank of Florence, WI. Sib was recognized by the Federal Reserve and his peers for his ingenuity by offering no interest loans for improvement of local businesses located in Northern WI. He was admired and respected by all in the industry. Just talk money and Sib was there. Sib was active in several organizations, among them the Jaycees, the Rotary, Lions and Masons. He also served as an Auxiliary Police Officer, EMT and Motor Pump Operator as a member of the Hales Comers Fire Department. Sib was the perfect Santa Claus for many venues. Sib retired in 1998 and, with his wife, Tootie, moved back home to Oshkosh in 2002. Living on the waters edge again gave him the opportunity to enjoy his favorite pastimes of boating and fishing. He has Gone Fishin! In lieu of flowers/plants, memorials to the Easter Seals Kindcare of WI, or the charity of your choice will be appreciated. Funeral services for Sib will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home - Westside, Rev. Doug Johnson officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until the service time.
