Webster Monroe “Webby” Winn, 67, passed away at his home Tuesday, December 4, 2018 with his family by his side. He was born November 20, 1951, in Wisconsin Rapids, the son of Monroe and Janet (Bjornberg) Winn. Webb graduated from Lincoln High School and pursued his passion of golf at The Ridges, working as manager and assisting with golf lessons. During that time Webb met and married Brenda Plowman, and together they raised three children.
Webb taught golf lessons for several decades of his life at various courses throughout Wisconsin, and had a hand in creating the organization The First Tee. His golf career concluded at Royal Scot in Green Bay. Golf was a great hobby of Webb’s, but beyond that he was a loving family man and provider, as well as a good son and brother.
Webb is survived by his children: Nicholas (Renee) Winn, Jessica (Andrew) Jorgensen, and Mitchell (Alana) Winn; the mother of his children and best friend, Brenda (Dale Elwort) Winn; his mother, Janet; a sister, Laura (Bill) Winn-Trapani, and a niece, Elia Trapani.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 16, 2018, at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, Oshkosh. A memorial service will follow.
