Wenzel Peter Jiricka

W. Peter Pete Jiricka, 81, of Oshkosh , died unexpectedly on Monday, November 11, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center . Pete was born on July 18, 1932 in Oshkosh the son of Wenzel and Alta Jones Jiricka. He married Barbara Stelzner on May 19, 1962 in Oshkosh. Pete was a veteran serving in both the U. S. Army and Navy. Pete worked as a machinist at Rockwell retiring after thirty years. During his retirement he loved spending time with his family, playing games, going on family vacations up north, and fishing with his grandchildren. He was an avid hunter, bowler and golfer.Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Barbara; children, Kathy Rumlow (John Duron) and David (Lisa) Jiricka; grandchildren, Alyssa , Ashley, William, Ryan (Shaya), Ariana, Brayden; his best hunting buddy and nephew, Alan (Anne) Marquardt and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Jiricka and sister, Virginia Marquardt.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside) with Rev. Martin Ruge officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Inurnment will be in Lake View Memorial Park at a later date.In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established. You were an angel to us here on earth. Now you can be our angel up in heaven watching over us. You will be missed by us all!
