William D. Manser died May 27, 2015 at Bethel Home in Oshkosh, WI at age 87. He was born in Green Bay, WI on Sept 28, 1927 to Aldor and Jean (Denis) Manser. Bill graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1946 and from University of Wisconsin Madison in 1951. He worked at Farmer Supply and as a salesman for Gardner Mfg Co. of Horicon. When that company was sold he worked as a plumber and part time at EAA. He enjoyed those EAA years and even got his pilots license. On May 10, 1952 Bill was married to Myra Challoner and celebrated 63 years of marriage just 16 days ago. Bill loved the outdoors and doing activities such as fishing, camping, canoeing and going Up North with his family.Bill is survived by his wife, Myra; 4 children: Joe (Debra) Manser, Mary (John) Gronlund, Andy (Partner Jeff Rehfeldt) Manser, and Liz (Greg) Manser Payne. He is further survived by his grandchildren: Nathan (Katy) Manser, Brian (Melissa) Buss, Daniel, Ryker, Paul and Taylor Payne; and his great grandchild Bethany Buss. Also survived by special cousins Denise (John) Olsen of Green Bay and Ruth Henschel of Appleton; brother-in-law George W. Challoner of Jefferson; niece Laura Challoner ( Bill Hue ) of Johnson Creek; and nephews, George S. Challoner, of Tampa, FL, John Pommerening, of Greenville, SC, and James Pommerening of Brooklyn Park, MN.A funeral service for Bill will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 1, 2015 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes- (Eastside) with Rev. Tom Willadsen officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park.
