William F Long

William F. Long, Jr., 77 years of age.Born April 8,1931 in Chicago, Il. Went Home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ On May 17,2008.He married Louise J. Haase June 7, 1952 in Oshkosh, WI. Was employed by the Soo Line Railroad in North Fond du Lac, WI for 17 years until his retirement July 1986. Bill enjoyed playing his accordian, playing Carroms with wife Lou, in the summer riding his bicycle, fishing with his son David, visiting daughter Deborah A. Ulrich and family in Florida. He had a great love for Gospel music and singing with his wife Lou. William was a member of The First Baptist Temple, Oshkosh, WISurvivors include his wife, Louise (Lou) one daughter Deborah A. Ulrich, Palm Coast Florida, David W. Long Oshkosh, WI, one granddaughter Rebecca A. Abreu (Luis), two great grandsons Maxwell Alexander and Zakary Aaron Abreu Okeechobee, Fl. two sisters, Dorothy(Wesley) Fuller, of Oshkosh; Jeanne (Edward) Sommerville, of Appleton One sister-in-law Millie Schmirler and niece Jane A. Schmirler, Oshkosh, WI Many nieces and nephews.Preceded in death by Father and Mother , Rev. Wm. F. Long, Sr. and Rachel M. Long, one brother John R Long, Las Vegas NV. Memorial Services will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral-Westside onTuesday May 20, 2008 at 5:00PM with Rev. Daryl Marco officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-5p.m to the hour of service. Interment will be at Riverside CemeteryIn lieu of flowers a memorial has been established. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course.
