William "Bill" Howard Juergens passed away Monday, April 12, at the age of 86. Bill was born on Saturday, June 23, 1934 to William and Alice Juergens in Eau Claire. Bill graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School in 1952 and enlisted in the U.S. Army soon after. He was stationed in Germany and served at one time under Major John Eisenhower. Bill had fond memories of his time in the service, especially the time he was able to meet President Eisenhower at the Pentagon.
After some college, Bill married Lynette Brantner of Mondovi on September 20, 1959. They resided in Eau Claire and had two sons, David and Mark. After several years working in sales, Bill went into the food and beverage industry, managing several Perkin’s restaurants in Wisconsin. Bill married again, this time to Lana Miller on March 3, 1987. They moved to Las Vegas where he continued to work as a food and beverage manager. The couple eventually retired in Oshkosh.
Bill had a sense of humor which helped him make many friends. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and sharing many stories.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Lana (Miller) Juergens. He is survived by two sons: David (Candice) Juergens of Bixby, OK, and Mark Juergens of Las Vegas, NV; as well as one granddaughter, Kathryn (Chris) Bergeron of Belmont, California.
