William H Nimmer

June 8, 1917 — February 6, 2007

Nimmer, William H. Died peacefully Feb. 6, 2007 at the age of 89 years. Beloved husband of Marion (nee Reitz), having shared with her a bountiful 66 years of marriage. Preceded in death by his parents (William K. and Edna) and his sister (Elnora). He set a wonderful example of a man who well lived his love for his wife, children, and grandchildren through the years. Bill served in the South Pacific in WWII, and returned to Oshkosh to work at Sunlite Dairy for 23 years - making the best ice cream in town, which was a favorite of crowds at the dairy store. He later worked for other dairy and industry positions here until retirement, volunteering then for EAA and church activities. He was an avid bowler, and a rapid-fire cribbage player. Loving father of Bill Jr. (Bettye) of Mequon, WI and Bruce of Brooklyn Park, MN, and caring grandfather of Jeremy, Andrew, Reid, and Calen. Loved also by other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held Saturday 11-12 at Martin Luther Evangelical Church in Oshkosh,(1526 Algoma Blvd.) followed by funeral services officiated by Pastor Jeffrey Berg. After a reception lunch, internment to follow at Lake View Memorial Park. If desired, in lieu of flowers, a donation to the Martin Luther School library fund would be welcomed.
