William Marvin Pettit

William M. Pettit, 80, of Oshkosh died on Monday, October 3, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center. William was born on January 12, 1931 in Oshkosh the son of Harry and Myrtle Allen Pettit. Bill married Bonnie Coates on November 3, 1951 in Oshkosh. He worked at Mercury Marine for 30 years and then owned and operated Bills Spud Nut Shop. If it was broken, from lawnmowers to dolls and toys, Bill could fix it. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie; children, Rev. Larry (Liz) Pettit of Davenport, IA, Randy Pettit of Mt. Morris, Becky (Dean) Schultz of Rheinlander, Rodney (Julie) Pettit of Winneconne; grandchildren, Melissa, Nathan, and Matthew Pettit, Mandy (Jeremy) Briggs, Holly Pettit, Kelly (William) Broderick, William Billy Pettit; great grandchildren, Connor, Rafe, and Emma Briggs, Lilly and Nathaniel Broderick; one sister, Bonnie (Ron) Kraus of Oshkosh.Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and two grandchildren, Jason Schultz and Rachel Pettit.The funeral service will be on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside) with the Rev. Larry Pettit officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM to the time of service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
