William Robert Hummel Iv

William Bill Hummel IV, age 69 of Oshkosh peacefully passed away on March 24, 2016 with his sons by his side. He was born on September 2, 1946 in Fremont, a son of William R. and Gloria J. (Westphal) Hummel III. He was united in marriage to Annette Dolley. Bill graduated in 1965 from Oshkosh Senior High School and went on to honorably serve his country in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam era. When he returned, Bill went to work at Mercury Marine where he worked for 40 years until his retirement.Bill was a Packer and Brewer fan and an avid fisherman. He enjoyed spending most of his days on Lake Winnebago, Butt des Morts, or in a quiet trout stream. Bill is survived by his three sons: Mark, Wade and Billy V; his mother: Gloria J. Teigland; four grandchildren: Joshua, Jeremiah, Sarah and Wyatt; one great-grandson, Harlan, one brother, Dick (Jan) Hummel; and two sisters: Ramona (Donald) Holdren and Patty (Wayne) Mortrud. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father.A Celebration of Life will take place at 5:00 pm on Monday, March 28, 2016 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Eastside, 402 Waugoo Ave. Friends and family may come to the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm for a time of gathering.
