Willis George Manthey

Willis G. Manthey, 86, of Oshkosh, died November 17, 2014, at Brookview Assisted Living. He was born on July 22, 1928, in Portage the son of the late George and Ruth(Glebke) Manthey. Willis married Barbara Boede on September 11, 1948. She preceded him in death in 1998.Willis worked at Kimberly Clark. He was a member of the Otter Street Fishing Club and enjoyed photography, polkas and Cajun music.Willis is survived by his children Linda Manthey, Debra (Sonny) Ramminger, Pamela (Charles) Schneider, Connie (Terry) Kelly, Peggy Miller; Randy (Sara)Manthey, Lisa (Jennifer) Manthey; daughter-in-law, JoAnn (Lowell) Oppor; grandchildren, Gwen, Alex, Anthony, Shane, Kimberly, Nick, Jody and Alec; six great-grandsons; and a sister, Grace Dettlaff.Willis was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Manthey and son Marvin Manthey.Funeral services for Willis will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, November 21, 2014, at Konrad-Behlman -Funeral Home-Eastside. Visitation will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 10:00 am until time of service. Inurnment will be at Lake View Memorial Park.A memorial has been established in Williss name.The family would like to thank the staff at Westbrooke.
