Wilmer R. Rosenthal

Wilmer R. Rosenthal, 88, of the Town of Vinland died Monday November 9, 2009 at his residence. He was born February 24, 1921 in the Town of Vinland a son of the late Richard and Augusta Winter Rosenthal. Wilmer married Lorraine Kirchhoff on October 13, 1945 in Oshkosh. Wilmer was a dairy farmer in the Town of Vinland for many years and also ran his saw mill on the farm. He was also a volunteer firefighter for the Town of Vinland for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife Lorraine; two sons Stanley (Chris) Rosenthal and Tom (Cheryl) Rosenthal; three grandchildren Steven (Donna) Rosenthal, Shannan Rosenthal, and Shane (Lisa) Rosenthal; and five great-grandchildren Brittany Bishop, Nicholas Rosenthal, Jordan Rosenthal, Erin Rosenthal, and Grant Rosenthal. Wilmer was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and three sisters. Private graveside services will be held at Brooks Cemetery. Wilmer's family will receive family, friends, and neighbors at the farmhouse (3276 Vinland Center Road) on Friday November 13 from 11 AM until 5 PM. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
