Wolga Adeline Tigert

Wolga A. Tigert, age 91 of Oshkosh, died at Bethel Home on Sunday July 8, 2012. She was born in Edgar, WI on August 7, 1920, a daughter of the late Ferdinand and Emma Hoernke Totzke. Wolga wed Arthur W. Tigert on June 1, 1948 in Edgar, WI who preceded her in death on September 15, 1990.Wolga had been employed by Meyer and Wenthe in Chicago and Oshkosh Trunk & Luggage. After she married Arthur they owned and operated a dairy farm. She was an active member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in the town of Nekimi. Wolga was a charter member of Bethel Home Auxiliary and enjoyed gardening and visiting her grandchildren.Survivors include four daughters, Barbara (David) Turner of Sacramento, CA and their children, Elaine (Damon) Eckert and Danah Turner; Rhoda (Robert) Hoeft of Germantown and their children, Brian (Laureen) Hoeft, Peter (Lindsey) Hoeft and daughter Eleanor, and Meryl Hoeft; Alice (William) Mowbray of Madison and their children, Claire Mowbray and Reese Mowbray; and Linda (Marc) Hanrez of Brussels, Belgium; one brother-in-law, Gordon Raddatz of Oshkosh; one sister-in-law, Lillian Tigert of Oshkosh; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, Carl, Herman, Frederick and Albert Totzke and four sisters, Emma Brown, Hertha Lau, Elsie Raddatz and Aurella Brouchous Gambill.Funeral services for Wolga will be held at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home - Westside on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Ralph Hanusa and Rev. Kris Totzke officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 11:00 AM to the time of service. Interment will be at St. Johns Cemetery in the town of Black Wolf. A memorial to the Lutheran Homes of Oshkosh has been established. The family would like to thank the staff at Elijahs Place and Bethel Home Special Care Unit for the care provided to their mom.
