Yvonne L. Ehnert

d. September 18, 2013

Yvonne Vonnie Lea Ehnert, 66, of Oshkosh died Wednesday, September 18, 2013, surrounded by her very loving family. She has gone on to continue her lifes journey as an angel up above. A sweeter, loving, kinder more compassionate person would be difficult to find. She was always caring more about others than herself, loving children was her greatest joy in her life. She was born in a log cabin on September 23, 1946 to Arthur and Ruth Hille at Tigerton, WI. She graduated from Tigerton High School in May 1964. Erv and Vonnie met Memorial Day 1964; 3 months later Erv proposed and Vonnie made him extremely happy when she said Yes. Approximately 5 months later, on January 16, 1965 they were married at Zion Lutheran Church in Tigerton, WI. Before carpal tunnel set in, she enjoyed making afghans, of which she gave most away to family and friends. Vonnie truly loved doing things with friends of which she had many. She loved going to casinos and especially when she won many big jackpots. She especially loved being with her family and spoiling her grandchildren, and many of her nieces and nephews. In the mornings she truly enjoyed sitting by the kitchen table with Erv, drinking coffee and watching Gods creatures. She always got excited when cardinals came to the feeder as they always reminded her of her mother. She worked as a customer service representative at Oshkosh B Gosh until 1996, when back problems forced her to leave. She then spent most of her time traveling throughout the United States with Erv which she truly loved doing.Surviving Vonnie is her loving, caring and best friend, Erv of Oshkosh; two sons, Scott (fiance Terry Ratliff) Ehnert and Troy (Melissa) Ehnert both of Oshkosh; five grandchildren, Sarah, Jessica, Heather, Michael, and Adam; a step-grandchild, Alexa; and her granddog Fonzie. Other survivors include 2 brothers; Michael (Marilyn) Hille and Mark (Arlene) Hille; brother-in-law Roy (Patricia) Ehnert; two sisters-in-law, Diane Soll (EddieKroggel) and Nancy (Jim) Mulhern; six aunts, Ila(Leonard) Grunenwald, Ruby Pastovic, Roma (Wilson) Milligan, Lois Mass, Ellen (Gus) Keyser, Dorothy Hille; 2 uncles, Wally Gruenwald and Martin (Marcella) Hille; five nieces, Kelsey (fiance Tim Nordin) Hille, Lisa (Joe) Collins, Linda (Joe) Bremberger, Jenny (Tom) Smaglick, and Kathleen (Eddie) Davis; nine nephews; Nathan (fiance Becky Swart) Hille, Jason Hille, Bob (Eileen) Ehnert, John (Laurie) Ehnert, Jim (Lynn) Ehnert, Danny Kroggel, Steve (Lori) Mulhern, Dave (Julie) Mulhern, and Larry (Dani) Mulhern. A very special friend, who was like her sister, Sandy Roslansky. Plus many other very good friends. Preceding Vonnie in death are her parents, mother-in-law and father-in-law and several aunts and uncles.Erv would especially like to give a very special thank you to the truly loving care that our daughter-in-law, Melissa, provided for Vonnie; also Terry (Scotts fianc) was of tremendous help.
