Yvonne P. Pommerening

Yvonne P. Pommerening, 93, of Oshkosh, died Monday, June 6, 2016, at Bethel Home. She was born October 24, 1922, in Oshkosh, a daughter of the late Peter and Clara Loppnow Wettstein. She married Dale R. Pommerening on her birthday Oct. 24, 1945, in Oshkosh, and he preceded her in death on February 20, 2010.Yvonne owned and operated South Side Beauty Shoppe. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and taught Sunday school for many years.Yvonne is survived by a sister Nancy Hartman of Oshkosh; two nephews, Ric Hartman of West Bend and Randy (Vicki) Hartman of Oshkosh; a great-niece, Hannah Hartman; and a great-nephew Blake Hartman. She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers-in-law, Robert Hartman and Earl Pommerening; and a nephew Bob Hartman.A funeral service for Yvonne is being held Monday, June 13, 2016, at noon at Peace Lutheran Church, Rev. Ralph Hanusa officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the service. Entombment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial will be established to Peace Lutheran Church and Bethel Home.Yvonnes family would like to thank the staff at Bethel Home, especially Angie, for all the wonderful care she received.
